Western Sydney University had gone through a rebrand yet their website did not reflect their bold aspirations. The university needed to not just compete with the more glamourous inner city universities but strive to be greater and offer something more in order to drive a larger student acquisition.

— Purpose

Working in design sprints with UX, design and front end, we partnered with a specialist AEM backend company. Leading the experience and design team, myself and my team formulated personas, user journeys, IA, concepts, prototypes, designs and HTML build of the templates and components required for backend build, and engaged search and data specialists to add in the smarts. 

— Solution

We created a platform which focuses on acquiring future students and aspires to be not just a university website but a tool to push students toward a exciting and liberating future. A template driven website that allows content authors to roll out over 16,000 pages for university content. We worked with numerous stakeholders across their organisation to manage their multiple goals.

— Results

We not only delivered a simple and reusable framework for a large content site but created specific tools to help guide future students, parents and career advisors into not only a course but also allow them to guide them into career paths in an open and informative way. Building not just a website but a product for the university to use.
