— Craftily forging a way into new markets

Little Creatures aren't afraid of new frontiers and with the burgeoning craft beer market making it's way through Hong Kong they wanted to lead the way with one of their trademark brewhouses in the trendy district of Kenedy Town.

— Purpose

The beer category on the whole in Hong Kong is experiencing growth, with particular emphasis on craft. Major mass-produced beers are becoming old and tired and therefore a larger preference is shifting towards demand for specialised beers. Developing a unique, localised Little Creatures Hong Kong story ­would help Little Creatures immediately stand out from other international brands in Hong Kong.

We worked closely with the brand to launch a supporting website for the opening of a brewhouse in Hong Kong, to establish the Australian brand in the Asian market, direct traffic to the venue, whilst offering an ecommerce section for customers to purchase growlers and merchandise.

— Solution

A visually enticing site using quirky typography and playful branding, the site allows users to explore the Little Creatures brand, educate them on the growing craft beer culture of Hong Kong and give them easy access to venue information.

With the large ex-pat community in Hong Kong, we also developed it to facilitate exclusive eCommerce and Click & Collect services for consumers who had a pre-existing relationship with the Little Creatures brand.

— Results

The venue has seen plenty of customers through it’s doors driven by the website and social, with trials of venue events and ticketing having been a success, and future expansion projects into other markets are in progress with Little Creatures Hong Kong positioned as the bench mark.

The platform templates, setup and learnings have since been identified and utilised for roll out across other portfolio brands.
